Space Type uses several enemy types to keep each mission fresh. Every target carries a word, but its speed, value, and danger may be different. Recognizing the type of ship helps you decide what to type next.
The main rule stays simple: press the first letter to lock a target, then finish its word. Strategy begins when multiple ships compete for your attention.
Normal ships create the core challenge
Normal ships move at a steady pace and make up most early waves. They are ideal for building rhythm because their behavior is predictable. Clear the lowest normal ship first unless a faster target is about to pass it.
As the wave number rises, normal ships appear more often and may carry longer words. This increases pressure without changing the basic typing rule.
Fast ships demand early attention
Fast ships can close the distance quickly. Their word may be short, but waiting too long turns them into an emergency. Scan for their distinctive movement and deal with them before they cross into the lower part of the field.
A useful technique is to finish the current word cleanly, then switch immediately to the fastest visible ship. Abandoning a half-typed target usually creates more confusion.
Gold ships offer a recovery chance
Gold ships are valuable because destroying one may restore a life. They are tempting, but they should not distract you from a ship already near the danger line. Take the reward only when the field is under control.
Gold targets also encourage accurate typing. A mistake can waste the chance to recover, so slow down just enough to complete the word correctly.
Boss waves test sustained focus
Every fifth wave brings a boss. Instead of a short word, the boss may carry a full phrase. The challenge is not only speed; it is keeping your place through spaces and longer sequences.
- Read the phrase once before typing.
- Keep a steady pace through spaces.
- Do not panic when the boss looks large.
- Use the pause before the wave to reset your hands.
Prioritize by danger and reward
A simple priority order works well: lowest dangerous ship, fastest ship, safe gold ship, then remaining normal targets. Boss waves are different because all attention stays on one phrase.
Once you can identify each enemy type, crowded waves feel more organized. You stop reacting randomly and begin making clear decisions, which improves both survival and score.
